A local farmer has granted Bee plus license to place hives in his fields in order to improve the pollination of his cash crops. 

Two apiaries are operated both close to the A316 and Adrian Hall garden centre.

Typical crops in these fields are oil seed rape and bean.  The bees will feed in the fields and in the margins on hedgerow plants such as: Hawthorne, Bramble, and Ivy. 

Not forgetting the plants in many private gardens.
